Promo Mechanics

Promo runs from March 1, 2023 to March 15, 2023, extended until March 31, 2023 as approved by DTI-FTEB. Per DTI Fair Trade Permit No. FTEB-162011, Series of 2023.

To be eligible for this promo, a user must have:

1. created a user account on the Tala App; and
2. applied for and disbursed a Tala loan within 18 months.

Eligible customers will earn a special referral bonus of PHP 250.00 (“Special Referral Bonus”) for every user they refer (“Invited User”) who creates a Tala account within the promo period and is able to disburse their first loan of at least PHP 1,000.00 on or before April 30, 2023. The Special Referral Bonus will be applied to the customer’s next loan payment.

Customers can make referrals by following these steps:

1: Open the Tala app and click the referrals section located at the center of the home screen of the Tala app.
2: Share your unique Invitation Link or Referral Code through any of the following methods in the Tala app: SMS, Email, Facebook Messenger or any other contact method available on a Referrer’s device.
3: Select preferred Invited User/s from your contacts list to send your Invitation Link or Referral Code.
4: Click Send! Your Invited User will receive your unique Referral Code and Invitation Link to download the Tala app from Google Play.

To earn the Special Referral Bonus, the referral must be successful. A successful referral means that the Invited User:

1. Taps the Invitation Link to download and installs the Tala app or uses your Referral Code when signing up by March 31, 2023.

2. The Invited User confirms his identity through the one-time password process, sets the password in their Tala app and accepts Tala’s privacy permissions through the Tala app within the promo period.

3. The Invited User successfully applies for and disburses their first loan of at least PHP 1,000.00 on or before April 30, 2023. The Invited User must complete their loan application and disburse their loan for the referral bonus to be credited to the Referrer.

The user will be notified via SMS of a successful referral of the Invited User’s first loan disbursal and shall receive the Special Referral Bonus through their Tala app within 1 business day from receipt of the SMS (or if the user has a loan outstanding, the amount of the Special Referral Bonus will be automatically applied to the user’s balance).

The user will not be eligible to receive a Special Referral Bonus if they are not approved for their next loan and/or if the referral to the Invited User is not successful.The Special Referral Bonus is non-transferable.

The Special Referral Bonus will not expire and may be applied to any future loan payment of the user even after the expiration of the Promo Period.
