It’s a program where you start with a smaller loan so that we can get to know you better. When you reach new levels, you’ll unlock bigger Tala loans that can grow up to ₱15,000. Through the starter loan program, you’ll be able to increase your loan limits and unlock more flexible terms as you grow with Tala.
For some Tala applicants, we need to get to know you a little more before we can offer you a higher loan limit. We want you to grow with us, so just repay on time to see your loan limits grow.
Starter loans have a maximum duration of 15 days, but you can repay earlier if you can.
For each day that you have an active loan, a daily fee of 0.5% will apply up until day 15. This means that the earlier you repay your loan in full, the less service fees you’ll pay!
With Tala loans, there are no access fees, processing fees, or any other hidden fees, so you can be assured that you only pay for the service of using a loan.
Once you accept your starter loan, you’ll see a section on your Tala app home screen called “My Tala Journey.” Tap on this section to see how you can grow your loan limit. Once you complete your journey, you can grow your loan limits with Tala up to ₱15,000.
