Frequently Asked Questions

Loan Offer

It’s an initial loan amount that we offer so that we can get to know you better. As you repay your loans and continue growing with Tala, your limits can grow up to ₱15,000.

For some Tala applicants, we need to get to know you a little more before we can offer you a higher loan limit. We want you to grow with us, so just repay on time to increase your potential to grow your loan limits.

Your starting loan has a maximum duration of 15 days, but you can repay earlier if you can.

For each day that your loan is active, a daily fee of 0.5% will apply up until day 15. This means that the earlier you repay your loan in full, the less service fees you’ll pay!

With Tala loans, there are no access fees, processing fees, or any other hidden fees, so you can be assured that you only pay for the service of using a loan.

No. If you repay early, your daily fee will not change, but you will pay a smaller total amount of fees because you’re using the loan for a shorter period of time.

For example: Your loan amount is ₱400, your daily fee starting day 1 until day 15 is 0.5% or ₱2:

  • If you choose to repay on day 15, you’ll pay a total of ₱430 (Computation = (₱2 x 15 days) + ₱400)
  • If you choose to repay on day 7, you’ll pay a total of ₱414 (Computation = (₱2 x 7 days) + ₱400)
