TALA Philippines Wins at 2025 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards

At Tala, we believe financial education is one of the most powerful tools we can offer to support underbanked and underserved Filipino communities—and now, that mission is gaining momentum and recognition around the world.

We’re proud to share that TALAkayan with Salve Duplito, Tala’s flagship financial literacy program in partnership with Empower and Transform (EAT), received a Bronze Stevie® Award at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.

The program was honored under the Innovation in Community Relations or Public Service Communications category—celebrating our commitment to building a financially informed and empowered Philippines.

Life changing conversations

Launched with the goal of making financial knowledge more accessible, TALAkayan brought practical and relatable personal finance lessons to everyday Filipinos. Through a series of interactive workshops led by respected financial journalist and advocate Salve Duplito, participants from diverse backgrounds learned how to better manage their money, grow their income, and understand financial tools they can trust—like Tala.

Far from the typical, these sessions were safe spaces where real-life stories were told—where questions were welcomed, and insights were shared. For many, learning from TALAkayan felt like talking to a friend.

“This recognition reaffirms our commitment to financial inclusion through education,” said Missy Santos, Tala Philippines’ Marketing Director and the program lead. “We created TALAkayan to give our communities the knowledge and confidence to take control of their financial future.”

A global nod to local impact

The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards recognize innovation in business across 29 markets in the region. Being chosen among so many initiatives reaffirms that innovation doesn’t always mean something complex or high-tech—it can be as simple and impactful as a heartfelt conversation about budgeting, saving, or borrowing wisely.

For Tala, this award isn’t just a win for us—it’s a win for every Filipino who joined a TALAkayan session, shared their story, asked their first money question, or took the first step toward financial freedom.

Empowerment, the Tala way

At Tala, we go beyond lending. We strive to be a true financial partner—supporting every step of your journey, whether you’re starting a small business, paying for school, or simply trying to breathe easier at the end of the month.

TALAkayan is just one of the many ways we live that promise. And this award? It only pushes us to dream bigger—for you, with you.

Recognizing innovation, community impact, and financial empowerment for every Filipino, this award opens the doors to new opportunities and growth.
