2024 was a big year for Tala, as we continued our mission to help the Global Majority access financial services and unlock their potential. Our work has made a real difference, especially for those who’ve been left out of traditional financial systems.
In the Philippines, we provided over 23 million loans, disbursing more than Php 109 billion to customers. We also partnered with Maya Bank, channeling Php 2.75 billion to make loans more accessible. These efforts are part of our larger mission to provide more access to credit and empower people.
We also focused on financial education. Through TALAKayan workshops with financial expert Salve Duplito, we’ve reached over 1,200 Filipinos, helping them understand personal finance, savings, and credit. This work is crucial in giving people the knowledge they need to take control of their financial future.
At the 2024 Singapore Fintech Festival, we launched the Digital Lending Report, showing how digital lending is transforming the financial landscape for Filipinos. Our partnerships with other fintech companies are helping to speed up progress in financial inclusion.
Tala also celebrated a major milestone in 2024: reaching 10 million customers worldwide. Our impact was recognized as we were named one of CNBC’s Top 250 Fintech Companies and included in Forbes’ Fintech 50 for the 9th year in a row.

One story that stands out is Alyne’s. He moved from Manila to his hometown of Santa Josefa, Agusan del Sur, to be with his family. With Tala’s loans, he started a barbecue business, providing for his family and improving his life. His story shows the real impact we have on people’s lives.
As we look ahead, Tala is more committed than ever to empowering the Global Majority. We’re excited to continue expanding financial access and building more partnerships to help communities thrive.
